When I had a baby with me, and other babies with me in the cradle worked 12 hours a day cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to come together but there was still a long way to go. The house would need a great deal of effort and a love for shopping. For my budget to remain in good shape, I went out with my three boys in search for deals at estate sales. We had a weekly schedule which consisted of spending the week from Friday through Saturday at estate sales and garage sales shopping for new and used items. I then spent the remainder of the week painting and sanding on the driveway. My passion for restoration of furniture began when I saw a style that was similar to this. I continued to work on furniture, even after having decorated our house. On the streets I set up a little area and then sold a few objects. I could outgrow the market because I had plenty of pieces that I could use. My home was where I would host open houses where more than 1000 guests could visit and purchase any product they liked on the 1st floor within a single weekend. My company Growing Days began here. Alongside my flourishing business, I also had the pleasure of growing our family. It was a balance between starting a business and being a mother. Growing Days seemed like the best match. The year was 2013, and my lovely daughter Nora was born. She is our fourth kiddo. This was a fantastic direction for my company, however, I needed an escape. I decided to step back and stay at home, spending time with my children. The time was right. But after a short time the phone started ringing. There were calls from people asking me to help them with interior decor and home renovations. The majority of them were the ones who had strolled through my property during open house for furniture! After that, I gradually took on new clients at my own speed. Then I was able to have many customers and was operating a business of home renovations. It would have probably made me laugh if you had said that it would be the foundation of an DIY Network tv series. Actually, I smile slightly when I recall it.
