Katherine Heigl reveals how growing up within a "white bubble" changed the way she raised her family of multiracial origins. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said in the past that when it comes to skin colour there is no difference. However, after talking to her adopted sister in South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats them. Meg was asked if she was treated differently when they were out together with their parents and then the time they were on their own. She said, 'Oh, yeah, all the all the time! It made me realize I was so ignorant," Heigl said to her parents. According to the actor, she became angered. But, she was determined to channel that anger towards helping the girls she adopted. Heigl, who has been engaged to Josh Kelley for 13 years and has a son named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl they adopted in 2012.
